Excerpt from book:
We want to open the scriptures and expose the devil for what he really is, a liar, a murderer, and the leader of all rebellion in the world. We’ll also find that he’s the ruler of this world, the ruler of the darkness of this world, the god of this world and the accuser of the brethren. He has access to every kingdom and government on the planet, and he has access to God’s throne in heaven. He’s been a mystical and a mythical being for thousands of years. He’s a very intelligent being and a formidable foe in battle. We’re warned in the scriptures to respect his power and never take him lightly. Where did he come from and where did he get this power? Where did all of his helpers come from? We will attempt to answer these questions today.
The first mention of Satan by name is found in Job 1:6. Bible scholars believe that the book of Job is the oldest book of the Bible, and was written before the books of Moses’ law. In Gen. 46:13 we are told that Job was the third son of Issachar, and the grandson of Jacob.
